What is SecureMail?
SecureMail is a free secure contact-form service that lets blog, website, and forum owners receive inquiries without exposing their email address to visitors. In operation since 2005, it is used by many sites today.
Key Features
- Completely free — no signup, no monthly bill, no "Pro" tier — free, always
- Email address stays hidden — visitors see a contact link, not your address. Scrapers and harvesters find nothing
- Knock out spam — block pushy sales domains or keywords like "unsubscribe" yourself. Anything filtered lands in a Spam folder for one-click recovery
- Bots blocked at the door — automated submissions and bot floods stopped before they reach you. Zero setup, works on day one
- No ads on your site — no ads, scripts, or trackers from us on your pages — ever
- Self-serve My Page — password-free magic-link login. Read, export, change email, cancel — all self-serve
- Commercial use OK — personal, business, e-commerce, portfolio. No permission, no extra fee
- Japanese & English — visitors see the form in their language automatically
- Mobile friendly — looks right on phones, tablets, and desktops. Nothing to configure
How to Use
- Enter your email on the landing page under the "Register" tab
- Click the link in the confirmation email to complete registration
- Place the issued URL as a link on your website
- Visitors submit the form; you receive a notification email
- From My Page you can browse history, export data, change your email, or cancel
Frequently Asked Questions
Basics
Q. How much does it cost?
It is completely free. No signup, monthly, or usage fees. Operating costs are covered by sponsor advertising (AdSense) on our landing pages.
Q. Can I use it commercially?
Yes. Personal sites, corporate sites, e-commerce sites, portfolios — any use is permitted.
Q. Can I have multiple accounts?
Yes. Register multiple times with different email addresses to manage separate form URLs for different sites. Each is a separate My Page login.
My Page & sign-in
Q. What is My Page?
A self-serve dashboard for registered form owners. View received messages, export CSV, change your email address, and cancel — all without contacting support. Visit My Page to access.
Q. Do I need a password to sign in to My Page?
No password. Enter your registered email on the sign-in page; we email you a magic link. Click it to sign in. Links expire after 15 minutes.
Q. I forgot my issued URL
Sign in to My Page; your form URL is shown on the dashboard with a copy button.
Q. The sign-in link didn't arrive
Check your spam folder first. If still missing, verify the email matches your registered address and that the account is active (not cancelled).
Q. How do I change my email address?
Sign in to My Page → "Account info". Flow: (1) enter the new address → (2) confirmation link is sent to the new address → (3) click it to apply the change → (4) the old address gets a notification email. Duplicate addresses are rejected.
Q. Is it safe to leave a session open?
My Page sessions are browser-only and end when you close the browser. We still recommend signing out on shared computers; signing back in just takes one email.
Messages & data
Q. Where can I read received messages?
Two ways: (1) click the read URL inside the notification email (classic flow), or (2) sign in to My Page and use the "Messages" list with unread badges.
Q. Can I download all messages at once?
Yes. From My Page → "Export" you get a CSV file that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. It includes sender name, email, subject, body, received date, sender IP, browser info, and referring page.
Q. I haven't received a notification email
Check your spam folder. Notification emails come from the kodama.com domain. Even if email delivery fails, you can read messages directly by signing in to My Page.
Q. Are messages backed up?
We do not guarantee per-account backups. We recommend periodically exporting CSV from My Page to keep a local copy.
Spam protection
Q. How can I block persistent marketing or solicitation messages?
From Spam Settings, you can block in three ways: (1) exact email address (e.g., spammer@gmail.com); (2) entire domain (e.g., example.com covers all addresses at that domain plus any subdomain); (3) subject/body keywords (e.g., unsubscribe opt-out). Use any combination — they apply with OR logic.
Q. Where do blocked messages go?
To the Spam folder, not the trash. We retain them for 30 days so you can review for false positives, then delete automatically. Senders see a normal "message sent" screen, so they can't tell they've been blocked.
Q. What if I block something by mistake?
Open the message in the Spam folder and click "Not spam" to restore it to your inbox. The dialog also offers to remove the block list entry that caused the false positive, with one click.
Q. How many entries can I add to the block list?
Per account: 100 addresses, 100 domains, 200 keywords. Redundant entries (e.g., a specific address already covered by a blocked parent domain) are automatically removed when saving, with a clear explanation of what was dropped.
Q. Are keywords case-sensitive?
No. Case is ignored, and full-width vs half-width characters (e.g., unsubscribe matches UNSUBSCRIBE) are normalised before comparison.
Q. Will I get a notification email for blocked messages?
No. Notification emails are suppressed for blocked messages so they don't pollute your inbox. Check the Spam folder periodically (or rely on the 30-day auto-delete if you don't care).
Cancellation
Q. How do I cancel my account?
Sign in to My Page → "Cancel". Data isn't deleted immediately; there is a 30-day grace period.
Q. Can I restore a cancelled account?
Yes, within 30 days. Re-register the same email from the landing page and the account (and all messages) is restored. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
Q. I want to keep my data before cancelling
Export CSV from My Page first. The 30-day grace lets you sign back in too, but a local backup before cancelling is recommended.
